বেশ কিছু দিন ধরেই গুঞ্জন চলছিল যে Sony বিশ্বের প্রথম Mirrorless full-frame ক্যামেরা বাজারে আনতে যাচ্ছে। আর সেই গুঞ্জনের সত্যতা প্রমান হল গত (আগষ্ট) ১৬ তারিখ। এই দিন একই সাথে তারা রিলিজ দিল Sony α7 এবং α7R ডিজিটাল ক্যামেরা। Sony এর দাবী এই α7 এবং α7R হচ্ছে পৃথিবীর সব থেকে ছোট full-frame ক্যামেরা, যার লেন্স পরিবর্তন করা যায়।
যদিও ক্যামেরাটি E মাউন্টের লেন্স ব্যবহার করায় এর ক্রপ ফ্যাক্টরটি রয়েই যাচ্ছে। তবে সনি নতুন কিছু লেন্স রিলিজ করেছে, যা দ্বারা ফুল ফ্রেমের সুবিধার পুরোটাই নেওয়া যাবে।
তবে এমন ক্যামেরার দাম স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই বেশি হওয়া উচিত। যার প্রতিফলন পড়েছে এই দুইটি মডেলেও। Alpha 7R এর শুধু বডি এর দাম ধরা হয়েছে ২,৩০০ মার্কিন ডলার এবং Alpha 7 এর দাম ২৮-৭০এমএম লেন্স সহ পড়বে ২,০০০ ডলার ও শুধু বডি এর দাম পড়বে ১,৭০০ ডলার।
